Established in September 2005, Emirates Cement Company LCC (EMCC) is one of the major cement producers in the UAE and is involved in an enormous number of major projects all over the Emirates. The company is a joint venture of Lafarge Building Materials in partnership with Dubai Investment Group (a member of Dubai Holdings LLC), and the Government of Fujairah.

EMCC uses the modern advanced manufacturing, environmental and management systems that have been successfully adopted in Lafarge Group operations around the world. Offering premium quality cements as well as concrete solutions, EMCC manufactures products such as OPC Cement, PLC Cement, and GGBS Cement. The company also intends to bring forth new products in 2009. Dulsco has been working with EMCC since November 2008 and provides industrial cleaning personnel to the company. Ayman Guindy, HR Manager of the EMCC Plant in Ras Al Khaimah, is highly satisfied with the services of the Dulsco personnel. He describes them as efficient and environmentally aware.

It is very important in a cement plant that the machinery and the environment around be clean and dust free. “In any industry where even a speck of dust could create quality issues, cleanliness and dust-reduction is not only a health and safety issue, but also a quality issue that directly impacts our bottom line. Cleanliness is directly related to production efficiency, machine performance and safety issues in the plant, as well as our finished product quality. We deal with this by hiring efficient staff who are then responsible for cleaning these areas, and furthermore we are willing to increase the number of cleaners so as to maintain our group’s high standards,” says Engineer Wael Amer, Process Manager of EMCC in RAK.

Working with Dulsco, EMCC got what they were seeking. “We needed a company that understood our needs and goals and that was willing to work with us to accomplish those goals. Dulsco knew our expectations, and could work with our schedule and crew,” says Amer.
